Job Description
A Banquet Houseman at The Club at Chatham Hills is responsible for the physical
setup, maintenance, and breakdown of event spaces, ensuring rooms are prepared
according to floor plans and event specifications.
Job Responsibilities
● Setup and Breakdown of Event Spaces: Arrange tables, chairs, stages, dance
floors, and other furnishings according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) or floor
plans, ensuring accurate room configurations before guests arrive and rapid
breakdown after events conclude.
● Equipment Handling and Maintenance: Transport, set up, and maintain banquet
equipment, including linens, audio-visual devices, podiums, and decorative
elements, while following proper safety procedures.
● Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain the cleanliness and professional
appearance of banquet rooms, hallways, and storage areas before, during, and
after events.
● Coordination with Staff: Collaborate with event managers and event staff to
ensure timely room turnovers, address last-minute changes, and support smooth
event execution.
● Physical Labor: Perform tasks requiring lifting up to 50 lbs, pushing loaded carts,
bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
