What are the responsibilities and job description for the Player Services Attendant position at Chatham County Government?
Part-time Position.
Variable work hours of 20-29 hours per week.
Shifts range from 6.5-8 hours.
Henderson Golf Course, part of Chatham County Parks and Recreation, needs a hospitality-oriented Player Services Attendant. The successful candidate will have an awareness of the logistics of a golf course, a customer service focus, and be flexible to meet the needs of our patrons.
Under general supervision of the Golf Shop Leader or Golf Professional, you
- Prepare the golf cart fleet for use.
- Operate a vehicle to retrieve golf balls from the practice facility.
- Secure and clean carts that have been used during rounds of golf.
- May monitor pace of play.
- Provide customer service as you interact directly with the public.
- Address situations in a tactful and hospitable manner.
- Operate a point-of-sale system, accepting cash, checks, and/or credit card payments for merchandise and/or services such as rounds of golf.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be able to understand and carry out written and oral instructions and write simple notations.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to perform work that requires long periods of standing.
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the golf environment.
