- Perform various duties, including typing, data entry, verifying data, maintaining files, and researching records to collect delinquent taxes.
- Research and estimate tax bills, including corrected bills.
- Provide relevant tax information to taxpayers, lawyers, paralegals, title abstractors, mortgage estate agents, and members of the public.
- Accept payments for overdue taxes.
- Manage partial payment files, active tax sale files, redemptions, and copies.
- Prepare and file important documents like Quit Claim Deeds, Sheriff's Deeds, and property transfer forms with the Clerk of the Superior Court.
- May need to visit sites to collect overdue taxes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED, and
- At least two (2) years of general clerical experience; or
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Must be able to use a ten-key calculator by touch and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to walk long distances while performing site visits.
- Must be able to lift approximately 30 lbs.
- Selected candidates will be required to complete clerical testing during the interview process.

- Delinquent collections experience.
