Are you a tech-savvy professional ready to leverage your analytical and technical skills to support mission-critical operations? The Chatham Emergency Management Agency (CEMA) is seeking a highly motivated Business Systems Analyst I to join their team.

In this vital role, you'll be the key link between technology and emergency preparedness, providing essential end-user support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing departmental databases, and ensuring the smooth operation of all information systems crucial to public safety. Examples of Duties

• Support end-users of information technology, systems, and services via telephone, in person, and remotely.
• Diagnose and resolve desktop hardware and software problems, provide technical support and training, and serve as the departmental liaison with the county IT Department, users, and vendors.
• Use your expertise in technology to analyze user needs and recommend appropriate solutions to meet those needs and department standards.
• Assist with hardware & software procurement.
• Engage in research and in-depth troubleshooting to determine the most effective and efficient manner to resolve end users’ technical issues.
• Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operations to resolve problems.
• Perform database maintenance and manage the departments' databases to ensure the security, and accuracy, of all records.
• Participate in the development, maintenance, and updating of technical documentation on applications, software, and hardware utilized within the department.
• Provide support during emergencies and disasters.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Computer Science, Application Technology, Business, or a related field, and
• At least two (2) years of recent experience in a technical support position, including responsible analytical work, technology application design, implementation, and database management experience at a large, complex departmental level, or
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Must be able to do the following in any combination: sit, stand, stoop, crawl, extended reach, hold heavy objects, and work in uncomfortable positions/areas for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to climb ladders of various lengths at both indoor and outdoor locations as well as work off tall structures such as bridges or buildings over five (5) stories.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and possess or be able to obtain a Class F Driver’s License within 6 months of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Application Technology, or a related field.

During emergencies and disasters affecting Chatham County, you may be required to report to work as part of a disaster operations team.

In accordance with the Department of Transportation, Commercial Driver's License (CDL) holders and those employed in safety-sensitive positions are subject to random drug testing.

Candidates with direct and relevant experience may receive an offer of up to 10% above the minimum salary that is posted, reflecting their exceptional qualifications.
