Job Summary

ZERO Prostate Cancer is seeking a Copywriter to craft clear, compelling copy across their brand and marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate will shape ideas and execute copy that drives action in a resource-conscious environment. A website portfolio with short- and long-form marketing samples is required. (Internal title: Manager, Copy & Content.)

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Write and edit copy for all ZERO marketing including email, website, social, fundraising, events, and printed materials.
• Develop and maintain messaging that aligns with ZERO’s voice and values.
• Collaborate with designers and Social Media Manager to ensure copy is on-brand and works seamlessly with visuals.
• Optimize written content for quality, clarity, and performance across channels.
• Ensure social media content aligns with brand voice and quality standards.
• Support development of messaging frameworks and copy templates for scalable use across departments.
• Champion brand voice and guidelines across the organization.
• Collaborate on brand and marketing campaigns.
• Bring unique ideas for engaging content.
• Utilize AI and other tools for proofing and to ensure high-quality content.
• Demonstrate project management skills.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in copywriting, content marketing, or brand messaging.
• Professional experience in a healthcare or nonprofit organization.
• Website portfolio required showing long-/short-form work across channels (ex. ads, headlines, landing pages, emails, social, scripts). Files will not be reviewed.
• Deep understanding of voice, tone, and content strategy.
• Excellent editing and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with healthcare or nonprofit content/marketing is a plus.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace and Slack; skill or interest in AI as a workflow tool.
• Ability to work independently and autonomously.
• Strategic thinking and analytical skills, combined with excellence in tactical execution.
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Constant use of a computer.
• Prolonged periods of a stationary position at least 50% of the time.
• The ability to recognize details at close range for extended periods of time.
• The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
