Hours: 7am-4pm

Pay Range: $17/$25 (Depends on Experience)

POSITION DESCRIPTION: QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN – Animal Feed experience is a PLUS

Position Title: Quality Control Technician Classification: Hourly, Non-Exempt Department: Quality Control Reports to: CEO

Position Summary: Ensuring that quality standards are met with product manufactured. Provides hourly production line inspections to ensure product quality is maintained. Verifies incoming materials meet quality specification(s).

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Conducts hands on testing to ensure feed meets all quality specifications

• Maintains records and filing systems

• Provides direct support to production team

• Maintains laboratory equipment and calibration standards

• Basic computer knowledge

• Maintains a clean work environment

• Follows safe laboratory practices and procedure

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

· Must be flexible and able to adapt to frequent interruptions

· Must be able to perform in a fast-paced environment

· Good communication skills with supervisor, laboratory, and manufacturing personnel

· Flawless attention to detail

· Ability to multitask

· Basic math skills

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Ability to learn how to use Excel and Word

· Timely and predictable attendance is a requirement

· Scheduling must remain flexible to support the needs of the Production Team

· The work environment consists of physical conditions typical of a laboratory and manufacturing environment: The job requires long periods of standing with regular walking and the occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of various objects up to 30lbs

· Employee is responsible for using and maintaining required and supplied PPE in order to perform duties.

· Ability to work independently without constant supervision

Additional Skill Set (helpful but not required):

· Procurement

o Purchasing, sourcing, and researching supply chains

o Establishing and maintain inventory levels

· Food Safety Certification for Animal Feed
