We’re looking for a skilled CAD Operator II to join our Engineering team and support the design of HVAC systems that keep our communities comfortable year-round.
What You’ll Do
- Draft and revise HVAC mechanical layouts using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software
- Translate field notes, sketches, and engineering specifications into accurate design drawings
- Manage multiple layouts daily while maintaining a high level of precision
- Perform Manual J (8th Edition) heat gain/loss calculations using Wrightsoft
- Create air balance calculations to support Energy Star home requirements
- Prepare and distribute start packages to field teams
- Collaborate with field supervisors, sales engineers, and internal teams
What You Bring
- Associate’s Degree in Architectural or Mechanical Drafting (or equivalent experience)
- 5 years of CAD experience (AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks)
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and design processes
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
- High attention to detail and accountability
