Commercial HVAC Estimator / Preconstruction Specialist
Location: Phoenix, AZ (On-Site) | 💼 Full-Time
Salary: $85,000–$105,000 Performance Bonus

What You’ll Do
- Develop accurate, competitive estimates for commercial HVAC systems
- Review plans, specs, and addenda to ensure complete scope coverage
- Perform takeoffs for ductwork, equipment, controls, commissioning, and more
- Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, PMs, and field teams
- Build clear proposals including clarifications, exclusions, and value-engineering options
- Use AI and digital tools to accelerate workflows and improve bid quality
- Continuously refine estimating processes, templates, and pricing libraries
- Support bid reviews and ensure clean, detailed handoffs to operations
What Success Looks Like
- Consistently managing 2–3 estimates per day (depending on complexity)
- Delivering accurate, complete, and margin-aligned estimates
- Improving speed and consistency through process and technology
- Providing clean, actionable turnover documentation for operations
What You Bring
- Proven experience in commercial HVAC estimating or preconstruction
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, installation methods, and cost drivers
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents independently
- Experience with tools like FastDUCT, QuickPen, BidTracer, Bluebeam, or similar
- Comfort using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) to enhance workflow and decision-making
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
