🎯 What You’ll Do
- Champion a safe working environment for all employees
- Educate and train new and existing team members on safety practices and compliance
- Interpret and apply OSHA and state regulations in practical, effective ways
- Track and analyze safety performance metrics (e.g., IIR, LWDI, lost days, near misses)
- Maintain documentation to ensure OSHA compliance
- Conduct or coordinate industrial hygiene monitoring
- Support and develop department-level safety teams
- Collaborate on safety planning for new processes, equipment, and construction
- Lead cross-functional teams to implement safety initiatives
- Follow Environmental, Quality, and Safety Management System procedures
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2 years of safety experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to train across all levels
- Practical knowledge of OSHA and state safety regulations
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Proven ability to work independently and lead teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Experience in metals or heavy manufacturing
- Familiarity with environmental compliance programs
- Experience working with regulatory agencies
- Formal team training and facilitation experience
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
