About the Maintenance Mechanical Engineering Internship:

Gain hands-on experience using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office while supporting real-world maintenance and engineering projects. You’ll build valuable project management, problem-solving, and collaboration skills while learning to work both independently and as part of a team.

Program structure:

• Schedule: Part-time (15-20 hours/week) during the academic year and full-time (40 hours/week) during the summer
• Location: Saukville, WI
• Start Date: May 2027
• Duration: Year-round internship
  
  

What we're looking for:

• Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field
• Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Ability to succeed in a team environment
• Ability to handle multiple tasks
  
  

Preferred experience:

• Advanced Excel and analyst skills
• AutoCAD experience
• Exposure to Lean manufacturing and Continuous Improvement Tools
  
  

What you'll focus on:

• Partner with the Maintenance Mechanical Engineer on hands-on engineering projects throughout the processing plant
• Support machine design and equipment upgrades, including part design and plant layout improvements
• Participate in continuous improvement projects focused on enhancing plant operations, safety, and efficiency
• Incorporate safety and environmental considerations into equipment and process designs
• Collaborate with engineers and maintenance teams to support projects from design through implementation
