Charter Steel is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer Intern for our Saukville Rolling Mill!

What you'll need:

• Enrollment in a four-year degree program in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field with current status of at least a Sophomore level
• Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Planning and organizational skills
• Ability to succeed in a team environment
• Ability to handle multiple tasks

• Skills in prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
• Capacity to think critically and find solutions where necessary

What you'll focus on:

• Shadow supervisors to learn daily production operations and support continuous improvement (CI) initiatives
• Assist with inventory management tasks using Oracle, including parts tracking and cycle counts
• Support process improvement efforts by identifying inefficiencies and helping implement solutions
• Contribute to training and documentation through Dozuki, helping maintain and improve standard work instructions
