What Will You Do?
- Tracks customer orders through the production or fulfillment process
- Tracks customer orders from placement to completion.
- Receives orders, inputs specifications and deadlines, and monitors progress.
- Liaises with internal departments to ensure that all downline activities will meet internal and external due dates.
- Generate purchase orders to suppliers for assigned projects and stock replenishment in a timely fashion.
- Drive activities in support of deflation and cost savings.
- Expedite shortages and follow up as necessary to reduce or eliminate delays in production.
- Discuss defective or unacceptable products with inspection, engineering, users, suppliers, and others to determine source of problem and take corrective action.
- Regularly communicate material issues that may affect Customer due dates with Scheduling, Production, Customer Service, and other team members.
- Maintain consistent vendor contact with emphasis on results-oriented relationships.
- Resolve 3-way match issues between purchase orders, receipts, and supplier invoices.
- Maintain relevant data in the ERP system to ensure timely procurement of goods in support of customer needs.
- Assist with the implementation of a regional or global sourcing strategy that leverages synergies between Americas and worldwide business units.
- Maintain the highest ethical behavior while following Chart procedures, policies, work instructions, and safety guidelines.

Your Experience Should Be...
- Associates or Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college in business or related discipline with 3-5 years of purchasing experience in the manufacturing environment required. Will consider someone with greater than 5 years experience without a degree.
- Must have production or order selection experience
- Knowledge in JDE or similar ERP system
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- Performs work under general supervision.
- Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Possesses solid working knowledge of subject matter.
- May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Energetic and proactive in developing and achieving objectives.
- Effective teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to read and understand BOMs along with Engineering Drawings.
- The ability to prioritize workload to tackle tactical issues within their Business Units without losing sight and focus on the global strategic issues and priorities.
- Advanced competency in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project
