Job Description Summary:
Charm City Therapy is seeking a compassionate and creative part-time, school-based Art Therapist to provide therapeutic services to pediatric students in a school setting. In this role, you will support students' emotional well-being, self-expression, and developmental growth through art therapy while helping them achieve their therapeutic goals.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide art therapy services to students in a school-based setting.
- Conduct assessments to identify each student's strengths, needs, and therapeutic goals.
- Develop and implement treatment plans as appropriate.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support students' emotional, behavioral, social, and developmental functioning.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, treatment plans, and other required records.
- Communicate effectively with school personnel, parents, caregivers, and other appropriate individuals regarding student progress, as appropriate.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable state regulations, ethical standards, HIPAA requirements, and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Art Therapy required.
- Maryland licensure as an Art Therapist required.
- Experience working with pediatric populations preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
- Passion for helping children reach their full potential.
