What are the responsibilities and job description for the Daycare Teacher/Assistant position at Charlotte’s Learning Center?
At Charlotte’s Learning Center, we care for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years across four classrooms: infants, toddlers, preschool, and school-age. We are hiring both Lead Teachers and Teacher Assistants who are passionate about early childhood development.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay: Based on role, experience, and education (training available for entry-level candidates)
Lead Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and daily activities
- Create a structured classroom environment that supports learning and development
- Track and evaluate children’s progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Maintain regular communication with parents regarding development and behavior
- Ensure compliance with all safety and educational standards
- Mentor and guide Assistant Teachers
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in childcare or early childhood education
- Relevant degree or certification (or working toward one)
Teacher Assistants Responsibilities:
- Support the Lead Teacher in daily classroom activities
- Help supervise children and ensure a safe environment
- Assist with meals, hygiene, and general caregiving
- Engage with children through play, reading, and structured activities
- Help maintain a clean and organized classroom
Qualifications:
- Interest in childcare (experience is a plus, but not required)
- Willingness to learn and be trained
