Part-Time Family Assistant in Wessex Square for a 10-Month-Old

Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency is assisting a family in the Wessex Square neighborhood of South Charlotte in finding a Part-Time Family Assistant for their 10-month-old son. The Family Assistant would typically be needed Monday - Friday, 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm (20 hours). Additional hours may be offered for date nights and occasional weekends.

The best Family Assistant would be kind, reliable, and nurturing, with a warm and engaging approach to childcare, and fluency in Hindi is a plus. This role involves assisting with light household tasks listed below until leaving at 4:30 PM to pick up their child from daycare. The Family Assistant will then care for and actively engage the child until the parents return home, ensuring a safe, structured, and stimulating environment. Responsibilities include preparing a simple snack, keeping the child awake and on schedule, and facilitating age-appropriate, screen-free activities that encourage development and creativity. The ideal candidate will enjoy spending time outdoors, taking the child on neighborhood strolls, and encouraging active, engaging play.

Nanny Responsibilities Include:

• Meeting daily scheduling needs of the child (Feeding, Changing, Napping)

• Engaging with the child on an age-appropriate level

• Playing with the child both inside and outside the home

• Doing hands-on learning activities with the child

• Picking the child up from daycare

Household Duties Include (Child is first priority):

• Child’s laundry and changing the child’s sheets weekly

• Child’s meal prep

• Run the stick vacuum

• Unloading/loading dishwasher and sanitizing bottles

• Wiping down kitchen counters

• Sanitizing toys and frequently used surfaces by the child

• Emptying diaper trash

Pets: The family has 2 cats. The Family Assistant will have no pet care responsibilities.

Qualifications:

• Have at least 3 years of professional nanny experience

• Have a college degree or equivalent experience

• Have a professional resume

• Fill out a complete online application

• Pass a pre-screening interview with Charlotte’s Best Nanny Agency

• Pass a national background check, including a driving record check

• Have a valid driver’s license

• Have safe and reliable transportation

• Have a minimum of three professional references

• Be non-smoking/vaping

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• Family Assistant should be fluent in English; Hindi would be a plus

• Must be up to date on vaccinations, including the COVID-19 vaccine, the annual Flu Vaccine, and TDAP prior to starting the position.
