What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct Piano Instructor position at CHARLOTTE LATIN SCHOOL INC?
Charlotte Latin School is seeking an Adjunct Piano Instructor to begin work by January 2026. This position will provide one-on-one private piano lessons to Charlotte Latin Students as part of the Charlotte Latin Lesson Program. This program offers a highly flexible lesson schedule, adaptable to the instructor's availability, with lessons conducted on Latin's campus between 1:30 pm and 6:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
Qualifications:Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in music is required; a Bachelor's degree in music with a piano concentration is preferred.
- Experience teaching piano to school-aged students in a one-to-one setting
- Completed classes in Piano pedagogy are preferred.
Skills and Availability
- Exhibit a love of working with children in the ages of Kindergarten to 12th Grade
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team

Working Conditions and Environment
- Intermittently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds.
- Continuously see, sit, balance, grasp, and have repetitive use of arms, wrists, hands, and fingers; and some fine finger dexterity.
- Frequently talk and hear.
- Intermittently stand, stoop, bend, twist, crouch, kneel, crawl, walk, climb stairs, step stools, and ladders, operate foot and hand controls, squeeze, and reach above shoulder height.
- Exposure to dust, chemicals, fumes, flammables, grease, dirt, stacked materials, electrical equipment, machinery, low to medium noise levels, and moderate indoor heat and cold temperatures.
