1st & 2nd Shift ICU Veterinary Technician/Assistant (Sign-On Bonus!!)

Our advanced diagnostic services include ultrasonography and echocardiography, electroencephalography, endoscopy, rapid-scan CT imaging, high field MRI, and cardio cath lab, in addition to many others.

CARE is seeking talented veterinary technicians to join our ER and ICU teams! If you enjoy providing a high level of nursing care to your patients and going above and beyond to ensure the comfort, safety, and health of your patients then CARE is where you belong! ICU technicians are responsible for providing exceptional nursing care for our hospitalized patients. ICU technicians care for all hospitalized specialty and emergency patients which affords you the opportunity to work with all of our specialists and ER veterinarians. ER technicians are responsible for triaging and assisting our ER doctors with managing intakes and outpatient emergency cases.

• High School degree or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of veterinary technician experience is required
• RVT preferred, but not required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted
• Emotionally intelligent
• Critical thinking skills
• The ability to safely restrain patients for extended periods of time
• Proficiency with technology, including electronic medical record systems, automated lab analyzers, digital radiology, etc.

ICU Shifts Available:

1st - 6AM to 4PM, 2/5 rotating schedule ($0.50/hr weekend differential applies!)

2nd - 2PM to 12AM, 2/5 rotating schedule ($2/hr shift differential applies!)

Veterinary Technician Responsibilities include:

• Assisting the veterinarians in all aspects of care
• Providing advanced nursing care to patients with compassion
• Performing venipuncture (jugular, cephalic, saphenous)
• IV Catheter placement
• Performing automated and manual laboratory analysis
• Digital radiology
• Performing medical calculations
• Inducing anesthesia, endotracheal intubation, and monitoring anesthesia
• Providing compassionate customer service to our clients
