Job Summary
We are looking for a People Operations Specialist to support daily HR tasks, onboarding, recordkeeping, payroll support, and employee communication. This is a junior role with opportunity for growth.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, programs, and inquiries
- Coordinate onboarding, new hire paperwork, and employee files
- Assist with timekeeping, attendance, and basic HR reporting
- Support payroll processing by providing updates, audits, and documentation
- Answer employee questions about policies and benefits
- Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment requirements
- Assist in preparing and updating HR policies, handbooks, and employee communications
- Post jobs, schedule interviews, and support recruiting
- Track safety and training documentation
- Maintain accurate HR data and ensure compliance
- Collaborate with external partners, including recruiters, training providers, and benefits administrators
- Assist with compliance tasks, including maintaining certifications, licenses, and safety documentation
- Provide general administrative support to the Head of HR
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree a plus)
- At least 3 years of experience in HR or business administration
- Strong organization and attention to detail
- Clear and friendly communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Experience with HRIS or timekeeping systems a plus
- Comfortable in a production/manufacturing environment
- Bilingual In English/Spanish a plus
What We Offer
Annual Compensation Range: $60,000-$72,000

Work Location: In person
We have 2 locations: Calistoga and Cloverdale – choice as main office can be discussed. Monthly travel to both locations may be required
