Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in fine dining and catering environments. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality meals to our guests while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and presentation.

Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
• Ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper food handling and storage.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus and develop new dishes.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, assisting with ordering as needed.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Assist in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.
• Participate in catering events as required, ensuring high-quality service is delivered.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Line Cook or in other kitchen roles within the food industry.
• Strong culinary skills with proficiency in cooking techniques, meal preparation, and knife skills.
• Experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus.
• Familiarity with menu planning and fine dining service standards.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
• A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences for guests.
