We are seeking a dynamic Shuttle Driver Dispatch Supervisor to lead and oversee our shuttle operations and ensure safe, efficient, and reliable transportation for our passengers. This role combines hands-on driving with team leadership and emphasizes safety, customer service, and operational excellence. As a Shuttle Driver Supervisor, you will coordinate daily shuttle activities, supervise drivers, and uphold transportation safety regulations to deliver an outstanding experience for all passengers.
Responsibilities
- Supervise shuttle drivers to ensure adherence to safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies.
- Dispatch daily shuttle schedules and routes on city streets, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs.
- Conduct vehicle inspections to verify mechanical condition and compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Monitor driving performance, enforce defensive driving techniques, and address any safety concerns promptly.
- Oversee vehicle maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs or servicing as needed to maintain fleet reliability.
Requirements
- Proven experience in bus driving, shuttle driving, or similar commercial transportation roles.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements such as air brake certification.
- Knowledge of transportation safety regulations including DOT and state transportation laws.
- Experience with paratransit services, school bus driving, or motor coach operations is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English; ability to use two-way radios effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate city streets safely in adverse weather conditions.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience in transportation or delivery driver roles preferred.
