- A consistent work ethic and the ability to work as a team player and as an individual at different times.
- Strong attendance record in past positions.
- Ability to communicate with others, informing them of changing situations and asking questions when situations arise that you need help with on the job.
- High School diploma or GED certificate.
- Assists the maintenance personnel as needed while they perform their duties.
- The position will entail general cleaning, lifting, possible lawn care and snow removal, minor building maintenance and repair, generally associated with custodial work.
- Monitor building security and safety by unlocking doors at designated times and locking them after hours.
- Follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors, fixtures, and individuals.
- Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
- Assist building personnel with daily needs, including lunchroom setup, take-down, and cleanup, as well as daily activity/event preparations.
- Assist staff and visiting public in using school facilities, including providing directions within the building, and in obtaining and setting up needed equipment and/or materials.
- Lifting and moving materials and equipment.
- Other duties as assigned or requested
