Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
- Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to ensure a pristine appearance
- Handle trash removal and recycling duties efficiently across all designated areas
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards
- Assist with light custodial tasks such as window washing, surface disinfecting, and restocking supplies
- Support facilities maintenance activities including minor repairs or reporting larger issues to the appropriate teams
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning procedures to ensure a hazard-free environment for everyone
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is preferred
- Familiarity with floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, and sealing floors
- Experience with general facilities maintenance tasks including light repairs or painting is advantageous
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment operation, and safety standards required for effective custodial work
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
