OVERVIEW of Position:
Offering the opportunity to expand and grow based on your individual skill set and strengths, this position works within our Admin/HR department, assisting both the County Administrator and the Human Resource Coordinator. Each day offers something new, in conjunction with maintaining your routine responsibilities. The duties of this position require the ability to work both as part of team, assisting with projects, daily tasks and providing routine administrative assistance, as well as the ability to determine, initiate and complete the same without direct guidance.

PRIMARY Duties:
· Assisting with oversight of daily fleet vehicle program, including scheduling of drivers or maintenance, to reviewing and generating reports and communications
· Responsible for the coordination, use and scheduling of meeting rooms and spaces
· Responsible for creating, updating and maintaining large electronic handbooks and manuals on an annual or as-needed basis, in various formats and programs
· Responsible for updating and maintaining various aspects of the county’s website and assisting employee editors with the same
· Assisting the department with the Parks Millage program process
· Generating employee badges and assisting with new hire onboarding
· Submission of forms and documents on behalf of both the County Administrator and HR Coordinator, which may include Worker’s Comp, FMLA, insurance, purchases, reports or any other requirements necessary for the day-to-day operation of the department
· Drafting and reviewing of contracts, agreements, leases and other similar documents
· Research, analysis and report generation on any topic or subject matter necessary, including state statutes or mandates, studies, surveys, history, or other necessary data and information
· Answering phones, emails and correspondence, and acting as departmental point of contact
· Ordering of office supplies, filing, and general department organization
· Scheduling and coordinating meetings, physical and electronic
MANDATORY Skills:
· Extensive administrative office experience required
· Basic knowledge of financial, human resource, and standard office practices
· Experience working in a confidential environment
· Highly proficient with Windows Office products, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
· Proficiency with Adobe, particularly working with, editing and generating pdfs
· Highly efficient skillsets in typing/grammar, phone etiquette and personal interaction
MANDATORY Requirements:
· Must have the ability to bend, twist, and have a range of motions that allows for filing and organizing in various locations
· Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Must possess a valid driver’s license
