JOB DESCRIPTION:
You will work with multiple customers per day providing technical support on a wide array of technologies either in person or remotely. We provide software and hardware support for Microsoft Windows based and Apple computers, networking, peripherals, security, connected devices, etc. We would like to see a proven track record of success providing a high-level of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities of the Computer Field Service Technician role include:
- Interfacing directly with internal customers with a professional and positive demeanor
- Resolving security issues
- Removing malicious software and identifying potential risks
- Managing computer hardware installations, configurations, and upgrades
- Resolving break/fix issues with current systems
- Assisting with network administration tasks including VPN setup and firewall configurations
- Providing training to end users
- Updating ticketing system to reflect services rendered
- Updating databases and company records for accuracy
- Adhering to all HIPAA regulations for our medical clients
- Conducting analysis of IT infrastructure to identify potential improvements or issues when onboarding new clients
- Submitting orders for parts and new equipment
- Provide on-site technical support for hardware and software issues
- Troubleshoot and resolve software-related problems across various operating systems
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Proven experience in technical support or IT service roles.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently and as part of a team and accept assignments, direction, critique and praise
- Strong analytical skills to diagnose issues quickly and efficiently
- Strong knowledge of computer management, networking principles (LAN/WAN), DNS, TCP/IP protocols, and network administration
- Experience with IT infrastructure management including firewalls and VPNs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace
- Ability to speak to customers of all levels on the phone, in person or via email in a well-spoken, professional manner. Maintain effective communication with clients to provide updates on service status and solutions.
- Time management and the abiity to stay on task
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have vehicle with proper insurance and current drivers license - We reimburse mileage based on the current federal rate.
- Must be available to work Monday – Friday 9:00am-5:00pm with later evenings as needed
- Must be willing to submit to a background/suitability/drug check
- Must adhere to professional conduct standards and work attire
