PMCO is hiring a Field Service Technician in the heavy equipment industry!
Salary: $35-$40/hr
Shift: Full-Time, Day Shift (service truck and field-based role)
Location: Ladson, SC
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain heavy equipment and components, including diagnostics, repair planning, and quality assurance testing.
- Identify and order necessary parts, materials, and tooling through the company’s system.
- Perform preventive maintenance and ensure equipment operates safely and reliably.
- Complete detailed service reports, work orders, and documentation in a timely manner.
- Safely operate and maintain company service truck, tools, and fuel cards.
- Maintain work area and/or service vehicle in a clean and safe condition.
- Communicate repair progress with supervisors and follow all safety and company policies.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Associate Degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology, or 4 years of apprenticeship experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to work independently in the field and handle varied repair tasks
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Commitment to working safely in challenging environments

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
