Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health massages to meet individual client needs.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand symptoms, medical history, and specific areas of concern.
- Educate clients on massage benefits, post-treatment care, and self-care strategies to enhance results.
- Maintain detailed treatment records and document client progress accurately in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Ensure a safe and hygienic environment by adhering to sanitation standards and proper equipment maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences and provide personalized service that exceeds expectations.
- Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and relevant medical terminology to continually enhance your skills.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification to practice legally.
- Proven experience in massage therapy with knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and pain management techniques.
- Proficiency in various massage modalities including Swedish massage, deep tissue therapy, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical massage experience is highly preferred.
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to assess client needs accurately and communicate effectively.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to massage therapy and occupational health practices.
- CPR certification is required to ensure client safety during treatments.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor that fosters client trust and loyalty.
