Job Summary
We are looking for someone who can provide direct leadership, instruction and motivation for students in swim classes; and who can also build effective, authentic relationships with students and parents.
This is a salaried full-time position, with medical benefits after three months.
Responsibilities
- Adapt your teaching approaches to the age, experience and ability of participants, so they can meet skill objectives
- Learn & teach to the CRA curriculum and standard
- Teach with encouragement and positive reinforcement
- Set up for pool lessons and clean up after lessons are completed
- Communicate and enforce class and pool rules in a personable and age-appropriate manner
- Guard the pool when you are not assigned to teaching classes
- Supervise the deck and provide feedback to swim instructors, students and parents
- Provide consistency in instruction by working each assigned shift
Qualifications
- Knowledge of swimming strokes and technique
- Self-motivated with the ability to work with or without supervision
- "Ability to complete essential job tasks, with or without accommodations."
- Excellent organizational, team, and communication skills
- Valid Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR/AED certification
Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday (exact hours TBD)
Salary: $50,000 to $60,000
