The Charles City Public Library is now accepting applications for the position of part time library assistant.
This position requires critical thinking skills, customer service experience, a willingness to learn, and ability to be a team player. Duties include but are not limited to assisting patrons with checking out books, applying for a library card, checking in and shelving materials. Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or GED and the aptitude to work with computers, tablet/smartphones, and Microsoft Office. Must be able to carry, lift and move 10 to 50 lbs. and work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. Previous library experience is a plus.
