Maintenance Technician
Description:
Charlevoix Public Schools is seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to help ensure our school facilities and grounds are safe, functional, and well-maintained for students, staff, and the community.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Operation, maintenance, and repair of hot water boiler systems

General maintenance and repair of equipment, machinery, and building systems (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, roofing, small motors, HVAC, pneumatic controls)

Facility upkeep, including custodial duties and cleaning of athletic facilities

Groundskeeping: landscaping, turf care, mowing, snow removal, and field preparation for athletic events

Maintenance of site features such as fencing, bleachers, and other structures

Additional tasks as assigned by the Superintendent
Qualifications:

Working knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, roofing, HVAC, etc.) and grounds maintenance (turf care, field lining/preparation)

Ability to collaborate, follow directions, and assist team members as needed

High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
-
Willingness to attend training to build knowledge and stay current in key areas.

40 hours per week (7:00 am to 3:00 pm)

Per master agreement.
