Position:

Maintenance Technician

Description:
Charlevoix Public Schools is seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to help ensure our school facilities and grounds are safe, functional, and well-maintained for students, staff, and the community.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Operation, maintenance, and repair of hot water boiler systems

• General maintenance and repair of equipment, machinery, and building systems (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, roofing, small motors, HVAC, pneumatic controls)
• Facility upkeep, including custodial duties and cleaning of athletic facilities
• Groundskeeping: landscaping, turf care, mowing, snow removal, and field preparation for athletic events
• Maintenance of site features such as fencing, bleachers, and other structures

• Additional tasks as assigned by the Superintendent

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, roofing, HVAC, etc.) and grounds maintenance (turf care, field lining/preparation)

• Ability to collaborate, follow directions, and assist team members as needed
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

• Willingness to attend training to build knowledge and stay current in key areas.
