Duties
- Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and provide detailed descriptions of menu items.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Heartland POS systems.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation.
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments accurately with POS systems, and give correct change.
- Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and resolve any guest concerns swiftly.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy service periods while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations.
- Experience in upselling beverages or menu items to maximize sales opportunities.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, cashiering, and billing accuracy.
- Previous host/host or serving experience is a plus; culinary or kitchen experience is beneficial for understanding food preparation.
