Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of innovative pastry menus, including baked goods, cakes, confections, and specialty desserts.
• Manage daily pastry production, ensuring consistency in quality, flavor, and presentation across all items.
• Supervise and mentor pastry team members, providing training on techniques such as cake decorating, food preparation, and food handling safety.
• Oversee all aspects of food safety management within the pastry department, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless integration of pastry items into overall food production and catering services.
• Maintain inventory control by monitoring packaging supplies, ingredients for baked goods, and other necessary materials.
• Uphold high standards of customer service by ensuring timely delivery of fresh pastries and desserts to meet guest expectations.

Requirements

• Extensive culinary experience with a strong focus on pastry arts, baking, cake decorating, and food preparation.
• Proven track record in high-volume production environments within the food industry or restaurant settings.
• Demonstrated expertise in knife skills, food handling procedures, and food safety protocols.
• Experience managing a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment with high-volume output.
• Knowledge of packaging techniques for baked goods and confections for retail or catering purposes.
• Strong understanding of food safety management practices and industry regulations.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
