The Used Car Reconditioning Technician is tasked with performing necessary maintenance and repairs on trade-ins and purchased vehicles for our pre-owned inventory, ensuring vehicle safety, mechanical dependability, and cosmetic appearance.

- Conduct thorough inspections of used cars to identify and document cosmetic and mechanical issues.
- Complete routine maintenance services such battery installations, fluid top-offs, oil changes, etc.
- Complete minor cosmetic repairs such as paint touch-ups, dent removal, wheel refinishing, etc.
- Perform light mechanical maintenance and repairs to vehicle systems including engine, transmission, suspension, steering, electrical, etc.
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed and inform the Service Manager of any additional repairs or maintenance needed.
- Ensure all maintenance and repairs performed are compliant with safety, environmental and dealership standards.
- At least 1 year of related experience performing vehicle inspections, routine maintenance, and repairs.
- Emissions license and ASE certifications are strongly preferred.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanical systems paired with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Efficient work habits, attention to detail, and quality workmanship.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
