We are currently hiring caregivers for clients throughout Alameda County, California, including Oakland, Alameda, Berkeley, San Leandro, Hayward, Fremont, Union City, Newark, Dublin, Pleasanton, Livermore, Castro Valley, and surrounding communities.
As a Caregiver at Chaperone Home Care, LLC, you will provide direct in-home support to clients throughout Alameda County by assisting with personal care needs such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene. You will provide companionship, engage clients in meaningful activities, and assist with daily routines including meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, and transportation to appointments and community activities.
Your responsibilities will also include providing mobility assistance, helping prevent falls, offering medication reminders (non-administration), and following individualized care plans while maintaining a safe and comfortable environment. You will communicate regularly with supervisors and family members regarding client updates to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
- Ability to provide safe and respectful personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene assistance.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to provide companionship, emotional support, and meaningful engagement.
- Basic home management skills, including meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, and transportation.
- Ability to assist with mobility, transfers, use of assistive devices, and fall prevention.
- Attention to detail in following care plans, providing medication reminders (non-administration), and documenting client updates.
- Demonstrated reliability, patience, empathy, and professionalism when working with older adults and individuals with special needs.
- Experience or training in dementia and Alzheimer's care is preferred, or a willingness to participate in ongoing training.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous caregiving, home care, CNA, HHA, PCA, or healthcare experience is a plus.
- Must comply with all local health, safety, and background screening requirements.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client homes throughout Alameda County is preferred.
