Small Animal Veterinary Technician - Chaparral Veterinary Medical Center

Chaparral Veterinary Medical Center is seeking a skilled and motivated Small Animal Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced, team-oriented practice. This is a great opportunity for a technician who enjoys hands-on patient care and working in a collaborative environment.

Schedule:

• 4-day work week
• Rotating Saturdays

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, and treatments
• Monitor anesthesia and assist in surgical procedures
• Perform dental cleanings and assist with dental procedures
• Place IV catheters and maintain proper patient care during treatment
• Obtain and process laboratory samples
• Administer medications and treatments as directed
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Provide compassionate care to patients and excellent communication with clients
• Support the team in maintaining a clean and efficient work environment

Qualifications:

• Previous veterinary technician experience required
• Anesthesia experience required
• Dental experience preferred
• Proficient in IV catheter placement
• Strong technical and patient care skills
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
