Position Overview

The Service Engineer is responsible for troubleshooting, managing, and scheduling in-house and field service activities on a wide variety of custom machinery. This position requires both technical expertise and strong organizational skills.

This is an in-office position with travel. Candidates must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and possess a clean driving record.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and manage service tickets, including scheduling, resource allocation, and customer communication
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for electrically controlled hydraulic machinery
• Perform hands-on testing and troubleshooting of systems including:
  • Variable frequency drives
  • Motor protection panels
  • Electrical control systems
• Collaborate closely with the Calibration Department
• Assist calibration technicians with testing and troubleshooting activities
• Support production team as needed
• Manage service contracts and direct support services
• Assist with training initiatives
• Perform additional duties as business needs require

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent Electrical Engineering experience preferred
• Minimum of 5 years related experience as a Service Engineer or similar role
• PLC programming experience is a plus
• Strong familiarity with hydraulic and electrical control systems
• Experience with panel testing and validation
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to lift 50 lbs without assistance
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
