What are the responsibilities and job description for the Process Engineer position at Channel Personnel Services?
Provides technical assistance to the production department for operational issues pertaining to safety, environmental, capacity, and quality.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
Ø Process design activities: generation of heat and material balances and P&IDs, lead equipment specifications and design, optimize layout for safety and efficiency, and other scopes of works as required to lead capital projects from design through commissioning.
Ø Project execution and management: scope, schedule, budget, quality, construction management, contractor management and other scopes of works as required to lead capital projects from design through commissioning.
Ø Participates/leads HAZOPs and risk reviews.
Ø Ensures that process hazard analysis open/action items are adequately addressed in engineering deliverables prior to execution.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
v Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering; 10 years of experience as a process engineer in PSM covering chemical manufacturing facilities.
v Minimum 3 years of experience in production/operations engineering.
v Minimum 3 years of experience leading capital projects $500K - $25MM .
v Extensive knowledge of chemical engineering concepts (thermodynamics, fluids, kinetics, etc.) and influences on system design.
v Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
