What are the responsibilities and job description for the GROUP EXERCISE INSTRUCTOR - ZUMBA position at Channel Islands YMCA?
Please Note: We are seeking a certified experienced Zumba instructor available to sub mid-morning Zumba classes on Mondays or Wednesdays.

What do Group Exercise Instructors do?
- Implement aerobics exercise, mind-body, or basic fitness classes
- Teach fitness classes; develop fitness routines, exercises, and choreography for participants
- Promote programs to members and participants
- Record participant counts, distribute and collect program evaluations
- Maintain minimum class attendance standard
- Provides exceptional customer service and fosters connections with members
- Participating and satisfactory completion of in-service trainings

Qualifications:- Must be at least 18 years old
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Required certifications: Nationally Recognized Group Exercise Certification (ACE, NASM, ISSA, NETA, AFAA) and/or specialized format certification (SilverSneakers, Zumba, LesMills, etc.)
- Ability to obtain a criminal record clearance
