What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Warehouse Lead position at Chank's Grab-N-Go?
Chank's Foods is hiring a hands-on Assistant Warehouse Lead to join our growing team. This is a physically demanding role that involves heavy lifting, forklift operation, and working in and out of a freezer for much of the day. We're looking for a motivated, organized candidate who can manage shifting priorities and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
What You'll Do:
- Operate stand-up forklift (1–2 years stand-up forklift experience required)
- Move, stage, and load pallets/orders
- Work in freezer and cold storage daily (in and out throughout the shift)
- Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organized
- Support shipping, receiving, and inventory control
- Stay organized, prioritize tasks, and keep operations moving in a fast-paced environment
What We're Looking For:
- Forklift certification (stand-up & sit-down) with 1–2 years stand-up forklift experience
- Physically fit — frequent lifting 40 lbs and standing/walking for long periods
- Comfortable working in cold/freezer environments most of the day
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong ability to multitask, prioritize competing deadlines, and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
- Patient, hardworking, proactive — not afraid to take initiative
- Dependable team player with the drive to grow with the company
- Must speak English.
- Spanish-speaking is a major plus
- Willing to submit to a background check if requested
