We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaning Specialist to join our growing team. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining clean, sanitary, and welcoming environments for our clients. Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 10:00 PM – 5:00 AM (approximately 35 hours/week)
- Additional work may be offered, so if you want more hours, we can work with you to get them.
Locations
Our jobs are in Des Moines and nearby communities such as Johnston, Grimes, and other surrounding areas. You must be willing to commute between job sites.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including offices, gyms, restrooms, kitchens, and other commercial spaces.
- Dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to maintain a tidy environment.
- Clean and sanitize surfaces, fixtures, and equipment using appropriate cleaning agents.
- Dispose of waste materials in accordance with safety regulations.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
- Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishment as needed.
- Follow established cleaning procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Occasional additional evening or weekend work as needed.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must live close to Des Moines.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required. Some assistance may be available, and we can discuss this during the phone interview to make sure it’s the right fit.
- Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial work is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must be dependable, motivated, and willing to learn.
- Capable of lifting 25 pounds and standing for extended periods.
