About the Role:
CHANEL is looking for a Data Visualization & Analytics Specialist to join the Chanel Tech Business Intelligence (BI) Team in New York City. You will play a pivotal role in developing new data visualizations and supporting our existing portfolio of dashboards. You will have the opportunity to work with business partners from Chanel’s three business divisions and all corporate functions while getting to know all facets of Chanel’s business. As a Data Visualization and Power BI expert, you will be tasked with supporting high demand for data visualization and dashboards within the company. The selected candidate will report into the Data Visualization and Analytics Manager.

- Understand complex business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommended dashboard solutions that align with Chanel's reporting strategy
- Research, plan, design, and iteratively develop Power BI dashboards based on identified requirements
- Facilitate ETL processes and development of robust data models within Power BI by collaborating with data subject matter experts across the BI and Tech teams
- Maintain and enhance existing dashboards based on feedback from the business
- Track, monitor, analyze, and optimize operational dashboard performance
- Keep up with latest data visualization tools and techniques to remain on the cutting edge

What you will bring to the team:
- Power BI required: Strong knowledge & practical experience
- Excellent listening, communication, collaboration, prioritization, and documentation skills
- Service mindset and relationship building
- Ability to own the full lifecycle of dashboard development from requirements gathering, data scoping and acquisition to development, QA and launch support
- Strong understanding of data management and ETL best practices
- Coordinate and collaborate across the BI, Tech, and Business teams
- Manage numerous processes and projects simultaneously at highest quality
- Knowledge/practical experience with Tableau, Looker, SQL, R, Python are also nice-to-have skills
- Translate loosely defined analytics needs into visualization solutions
- Ability to always be inquisitive and forward thinking
- Effectively assist and support our dashboard self-service business users and BI Center of Excellence (BI COE) members with their dashboard projects
Position Logistics:
- A minimum of 2 years of monitoring, managing, manipulating, and drawing insights from data and developing Power BI dashboards
- Bachelor’s degree (or formal coursework) in Data Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering preferred
- New York City based position, partially remote. 3 days on-site office requirement
- Minimal travel requirement of 5%
Compensation:
- The anticipated base salary range for this position is $58,200 -$115,000. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for this position. Other forms of variable pay [may/will] be offered for this position. Other components [may/will] include bonus potential, benefits, and/or perks.

- Fully Remote: Role can be conducted from home office, may require occasional travel and/or visits to corporate offices/points of sales.
- Partially Remote: Role requires a minimum of three-days in-person office presence at the designated location/office.
- Work-Place Essential: This role requires 5 days in person office at the designated location/office.
