Senior Data/Information Architect - ONSITE (CURRENT SC Resident) - W2 ONLY

Work Location: Fully Onsite
Candidate location: Candidate must be a CURRENT SC resident. No relocation allowed. 

Works with consultants, application developers and end users to develop the logical data model and data architecture of assigned application.  Designs relational databases within the architectural framework to meet application needs.  Serves as lead database designer for assigned application systems.  Develops and implements standards for database design.Writes and maintains stored procedures as needed; develops standards for the use of stored procedures, object relational mappers, and other means of database access.  Develops standards for application handling of databases, including error handling.  Builds database utilities as needed for application use, such as SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) packages and database scripts.

Analyzes anticipated data volumes and patterns of use; gains knowledge of agency data usage to improve efficiency of database access and manipulation.Supports application developers. Assists application developers in resolving database related application problems, both in development and in production.  Works with Database Administration to resolve database performance problemsPrepares and obtains approval of system and programming documentation.Configure system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing and creates specifications for systems to meet business requirements.Assist in deploying applications to Dev, QA, Production environments and migrations. Follow best practices for secure web programming and deployment. Adhere to internal best practices with respect to coding standards, unit test coverage, automation, and continuous integration.

Work closely with Team or vendor to ensure sound practices regarding site architecture, performance and reliability, and content delivery are in place.

This includes ownership of the data entered into the Helpdesk system and appropriately updating both client and appropriate employees of status of all issues on a timely basis.

·       Good customer skills, be attentive to detail, and responsive to customer tickets.

Technical

·       Troubleshoot and recommend technical solutions for customer issues related to backup configuration and recovery. 

·       Develop workaround solutions as appropriate.

·       Perform equipment and software upgrades        

·       Maintain familiarity with current computer and network products            

·       Adhere to corporate information security guidelines and promote information security among coworkers               

·       Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Skills

·       10 Years of database modeling, architecture, and development experience\

·       9 Years of State Government Experience

·       10 Years of advanced SQL experience

·       5 years Adobe AEM 6.5 version

·       4 years of Java development, design and coding experience.

·       5 Years of Experience with Agile methodology  Preferred Skills (rank in order of Importance):

·       Experience with cloud-based solutions

Preferred Skills

·       Experience with cloud-based solutions

·       PMP or other PMI Issued Certification
