JOB TITLE: WAREHOUSE AND DELIVERY ASSOCIATE – CENTRAL KITCHEN
CALENDAR: 2612H (12 MONTH)
SALARY: GRADE 112 (SUPPORT HOURLY)
Job Goal:
Storage, receiving, inventory, and distribution of district materials, supplies, furniture & equipment. Back up driving team as needed. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the facility and equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to read and write English as it pertains to job functions
- Valid AZ driver’s license with three-years citation-free driving record
- Satisfactory criminal background check
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid Food Handler’s Card – ANSI certified; within 30 days of hire
- Computer experience with standard software products
- Vision and hearing are adequate to exercise job responsibilities in a safe manner
Core Job Functions:
- Load and unload delivery trucks with a forklift, pallet jack, or by hand.
- Assist in creating orders for outside vendors
- Receive and process shipments, checking for accuracy and discrepancies; notify manager /supervisor of any discrepancies
- Route items, maintain logs and receipts, and submit accurate information to the appropriate department
- Providing relevant warehouse information and item locations for drivers and/or staff
- Review orders for processing and fulfillment, check for accuracy, identify and address discrepancies
- Provide support for drivers; drive appropriate vehicle to deliver and pick up materials, supplies, furniture & equipment
- Maintain warehouse inventory (rotation, par levels, organization, and daily count)
- Maintain central kitchen inventory (rotation, par levels, organization, and daily count)
- Perform an audit of central kitchen cart loads; assess and report discrepancies before daily delivery to the manager/supervisor
- Perform and reconcile monthly inventory count with the warehouse manager (site-based, central kitchen facility, and/or warehouse)
- Assist in the repair, removal, and/ or relocation of equipment between facilities
- Perform tasks that keep the physical plant clean, safe, and functional
- Organize an efficient work schedule for the delivery and pick up of all materials
- Report safety/security hazards and needs for major repairs in an expeditious manner
- Follow safe food handling/storage/transportation practices
- Follow safe driving practices
- Operate and care for the school district's equipment properly
- Follow district policies and procedures as outlined by supervisor and/or administrator
- Be flexible and willing to perform other duties relating to the general job function as assigned by the supervisor in a safe and prudent manner

Physical Requirements - Heavy Work
- Required physical actions include stooping, kneeling, crouching, standing, walking, sitting, finger or manual dexterity, repetitive finger motion, speaking, hearing, seeing (with correction), and focusing ability.
- Mobility and lifting require employees to stand and walk constantly on various floor surfaces. They must be able to use a push/pull force of up to 50 pounds for machines and lift items up to 30 pounds. Items over 50 pounds require a second staff member to assist.
- Occasional tasks may require an employee to climb ladders for cleaning or maintenance.
