JOB TITLE: OFFICE MANAGER - ELEMENTARY
CALENDAR: 2381FT (11 MONTH)
SALARY: GRADE 115 (SUPPORT HOURLY)
Job Goal
Assisting the Principal by assuming responsibility for the overall operation of the school office, and maintaining good public relations with students, parents, staff, and the general public.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of progressively responsible experience, preferably in a school setting
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google applications
- Accurate typing and, if needed, dictation skills
- Excellent multitasking abilities
- Able to work cooperatively with diverse groups of people
- Committed to following all policies and regulations
- Has adequate vision and hearing to perform the job safely
Core Job Functions:
Perform a wide range of secretarial and clerical duties, including typing, filing, and transcribing correspondence, reports, and other written materials.
Manage front office operations by greeting visitors, answering phone calls, and providing information on school policies and procedures.
Schedule appointments, maintain calendars, and organize meetings and events for the school and outside groups.
Handle confidential correspondence and records with discretion.
Communicate effectively with parents, students, and staff to resolve issues that do not require an administrator's attention.
Maintain accurate financial, statistical, and other records. This includes collecting and accounting for money from various sources.
Order, manage, and inventory office supplies and equipment.
Assist staff with clerical services and manage incoming/outgoing mail.
Maintain and update permanent student records and other files.
Input and update information into the computer system.
Prepare required reports on attendance, accidents, and student entries/withdrawals for administration and the State Department of Education.
Coordinate the master school calendar or master schedule.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
