Requirements
What You’ll Do:
- Operate CNC machines to produce parts and components to specification
- Load and unload materials and work-pieces into machines
- Review job documentation (routers, control plans, blueprints, inspection instructions) to ensure accurate setup and sequencing
- Perform basic inspections using standard measuring tools to verify part quality
- Deburr and perform surface finishing operations such as sanding
- Monitor machines and parts during operation to identify and report issues
- Replace tooling and assist with basic machine adjustments as needed
- Maintain coolant and oil levels and complete routine preventative maintenance checks
- Handle materials, tooling, and parts throughout production processes
- Accurately record job data and labor in ERP system
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment (5S standards)
- Follow all safety guidelines, including PPE and OSHA requirements
- Support Lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, decimals)
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Ability to learn blueprint reading and basic inspection techniques
- Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive, professional attitude
- Previous CNC operator or manufacturing experience
- Exposure to blueprints, machining, or inspection tools
- CNC Machine Technology or related certification
- Ability to operate multiple machines as needed
- Ability to learn basic machine offsets and axis movements.
- Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. Person as defined by federal regulations)
