JOB DESCRIPTION: BREAKFAST ATTENDANT
Summary:
Breakfast is the best way to start the day! Guests love to enjoy delicious, freshly prepared and beautifully presented food. A Breakfast Attendant prepares and maintains daily breakfast bar, welcoming each guest and providing a comfortable and friendly atmosphere.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support guest service as the main focus of the hotel
- Prepare, serve and maintain breakfast bar as required by brand and safety standards
- Greet each guest, anticipate and assist with any breakfast needs
- Maintain breakfast and preparation area cleanliness and ensure food safety
- Wash, clean and store all breakfast equipment
- Review and maintain inventory of food, beverages and supplies needed for each day
- Report ordering or purchasing needs to supervisor in a timely manner
- Complete all breakfast opening and closing tasks as indicated
- Take action to solve guest problems/complaints and coordinate with other departments to fulfill a guest request
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- Excellent Guest Service skills
- Excellent communication skills to verbally communicate effectively with guests and associates
- Demonstrate knowledge of applicable food safety regulations
- Ability to stand and walk for duration of shift
- Ability to lift, push and pull a minimum of 40 pounds
- Pushing, bending, stooping, walking, upward reaching, manual dexterity, seeing, hearing, and writing.
