JOB DESCRIPTION: BARISTA
Summary:
A Barista creates the Starbucks Experience for our guests by delivering prompt and courteous service, expertly crafted beverages and products, while maintaining a safe, clean and comfortable store environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greet guests and provide friendly, courteous and prompt service
- Demonstrate knowledge of all menu items, products and offers
- Receive and enter orders into the POS system, process payments and make change quickly and accurately
- Provide quality beverage and food products by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards
- Verify accuracy and deliver guest orders
- Maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events
- Discover and respond appropriately to guest needs
- Cleaning duties as assigned to maintain a safe, clean and comfortable store environment
- Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products
- Unload and stock inventory as needed
- Follow uniform and grooming standards and policies
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to follow directions, work in a fast paced, guest responsive environment
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate with associates, management and guests.
- Ability to stand and walk for duration of shift
- Minimum lifting, pushing and pulling of 50 pounds
- Pushing, bending, stooping, walking, upward reaching, manual dexterity, seeing, hearing, writing, typing, verbal communication.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and/or holidays
- Age requirements may apply in order to remain in compliance with State and Federal laws
