Custodian - Seasonal (Anticipated, up to 3 positions) Needed

Location: Champlain Valley School District

Champlain Valley Union High School (CVU) is seeking Seasonal Custodians to join our Operations & Maintenance team for Summer 2026. There are currently two openings, with a third opening anticipated. We are looking for reliable professionals dedicated to maintaining high standards of facility cleanliness and safety.

Primary Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain floors, including vacuuming, sweeping, washing, stripping, waxing, and buffing.
• Sanitize facilities such as bathrooms, windows, walls, water fountains, and sinks.
• Manage waste by emptying trash receptacles and picking up litter inside and around buildings.
• Support school operations through event setup/breakdown.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess

• Ability to work cooperatively with students, staff, and supervisors.
• Strong dependability and the ability to work independently to get things done.
• Capacity to stand/walk constantly and frequently lift or push/pull up to 25 lbs.
• Experience not required; paid training provided to all new hires.

Hours can be flexible if necessary, but typically 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
