Non-Intensive Paraeducator (GenEd) Needed
Location: Allen Brook School
Allen Brook School (ABS) is seeking an energetic and caring 1.0 FTE Non-Intensive Paraeducator to join our Kindergarten general education teams starting the 2026-2027 school year. We are looking for a skilled professional to provide support to both students and faculty in order to facilitate a successful educational experience.
This position is essential to our mission of fostering student growth, independence, and a collaborative school community. The successful candidate will be a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced classroom environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Taking a proactive approach to supporting our Kindergarten teams by anticipating and meeting classroom needs in advance of directions.
- Establishing positive relationships and working with individual Kindergarten students to problem-solve situations throughout their day.
- Providing strong organizational support, possibly including managing instructional resources and making copies
- Taking a leadership role in supervising students during lunch, recess, bus arrival/departure, and off-campus trips.
- Utilizing consistent, positive behavior management strategies tailored for early childhood learners across a variety of school settings.
- Participating in team meetings and working closely with teachers while maintaining strict confidentiality.

- The physical capacity to meet the requirements of the position, which may include lifting.
