Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational programs and activities for children from Infants to School Age
- Provide support and supervision to children during daily routines, including mealtime, naptime, and playtime
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior and social skills development
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for children with special needs
- Assist in maintaining a safe and clean classroom environment
- Support the lead teacher in assessing children's progress and documenting observations
- Maintain a welcoming, inclusive environment that encourages participation and positive social interactions.
- Monitor student transitions, attendance, and daily routines to ensure smooth program operations.
- Communicate effectively with families, school staff, and program leadership.
- Follow all program policies, safety guidelines, and licensing requirements.
- Participate in hands-on trainings, ongoing professional development, and team meetings as required.
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
- Familiarity with toddler care, preschool, and school age development
- Understanding of curriculum development principles
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus (training may be provided).
- Strong ability to stay alert, actively monitor groups, and maintain a safe environment.
